Design A Full Adder Circuit Using Decoder And Multiplexer



Designing a full adder circuit is a difficult but rewarding task for electronics engineers. It requires an understanding of logic gates, multiplexers, and decoders in order to construct a functioning circuit that can correctly add two binary values.

For starters, a full adder circuit needs three input bits. The first two bits represent the two numbers to be added, while the third bit represents the carry-in from the previous operation. After being passed through a multiplexer, these inputs reach a decoder, which determines the logic operations for each of the three input bits.

The decoder's output is sent to the logic gates, which consist of AND, OR, and XOR gates. These gates combine the decoders' output to create the sum and carry outputs. The sum output is then fed back to the multiplexer, which combines the sum with the carry output to give us the full adder circuit's final result.

In conclusion, designing a full adder circuit can be a daunting task for electronics engineers. However, by understanding the basics of logic gates, multiplexers, and decoders, engineers can create functional circuits capable of reliably adding two binary inputs.
